Emily Peterson, MD

Dr. Peterson moved to the Wiregrass area from the Queen City, Charlotte, NC. She matriculated from St. Olaf College with a bachelor of science and graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, where she was elected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She went on for specialty training in obstetrics & gynecology at Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She has a passion for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) and is a member of the American Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Her other interests include complex obstetrical care, surgical and medical management of gynecologic concerns, and reproductive health care access for young women.

Outside of the OR, Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with her partner Ned in the great outdoors hiking, kayaking, and boating. They also enjoy spending time with their cat Roo and dog Mapi.
