Karis was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama. After a 6-year nursing career in the neonatal intensive care unit, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama. Karis is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the AANP. She enjoys seeing patients for prenatal/postpartum care and annual exams, as well as performing aesthetic procedures and IV therapy. Outside of work, Karis and her husband, Blake, stay busy with their three little boys and baby girl. They enjoy spending time outside on the lake with family and are active members in their church.
